Post-use, items often become waste or remain untouched, both contributing to textile pollution. Our approach breaks the 'buy and forget' mindset, providing a re-sell choice with guaranteed refunds for every purchase.

We aim to address the imminent and widespread problem of textile waste in the fashion industry. While news channels and social media may mention the issue, it can be difficult to comprehend the real impact of our decisions. We want to make this problem more tangible and raise awareness of its severity.

The reality is that one garbage truck of textiles is dumped into landfills or burned EACH SECOND, resulting in significant environmental impacts. Close to 90% of the total fiber is wasted, sent to landfills or incinerated.

Giving a definitive solution to this problem has been the main reason that motivated us to build CYCLE PLATFORM.

Our purpose, our cause to fight for, and our commitment to you and our industry is finding a new, more sustainable consumption model, which is the precursor to a true circular economy. We also want to protect and strengthen the dynamism and creativity of the industry we love, fashion, with its designers, brands, heritage, and novelty.

Who we are and what we solve?

We are the first ever transversal platform to join Primary and Secondary Market by following a product along its lifecycle.

Brands and retailers will soon operate under a new legislative scheme with greater oversight. This entails extended responsibility and requires the implementation and development of tools to measure the impact of the articles they market.

Here comes Cycle Platform, which offers Fashion players not only the creation of their products' digital passport (DPP) but also a continuation of this approach throughout its life in the secondary market.

*The Digital Product Passport is a tool for collecting and sharing product data throughout its entire lifecycle used to illustrate a product's sustainability, environmental and recyclability attributes.

It aims to provide consumers and businesses with
greater transparency and information about the environmental and sustainability aspects of every individual product placed on the EU market.

In this way we close the cycle and ensure a longer life of the products while providing the industry with information relevant to its business and helping to comply with the new European regulatory context (ESPR).

What's our main solution? REVERSE LOGISTICS & TRACEABILITY

We believe that for every single garment that is put into the market, the industry should take responsibility for preventing it from ending up in landfill. But the current consumption models do not allow this, because every time a garment is sold, whether in the Primary or Secondary market, traceability, and therefore, this responsibility, is lost or transferred to another.

How we can do this? REPURCHASE

Our aim is to encourage users to return their new or used garments at the end of the season, which we will recondition, repair, and sell again. By repeating this process, we can create a new file of garments that are already used with guaranteed quality, authenticity, and traceability.

TRACEABILITY is key to controlling the status, authenticity and environmental impact of each garment, and we will ensure this through unitary codes attached to each product. By doing this, we can create a true environmental P&L account for each garment during its lifespan and enable brands and designers to better understand the global footprint of their products.

At the end of the garment´s lifecycle , we will be in charge of treating that "waste" according to the new EU textile policies, based on the 2025-2030 EU Agenda. We had already developed this process by creating the necessary industrial symbiosis working with some of the most important fashion brands in the world.

When recovering the garment and refunding the user, we will guarantee with legal documentation that no garment at our platform will end up in a landfill. Even more, we will be able to offer each brand or designer the recovery of all those fibers or fabrics, reintroducing them again in their supply chain for future productions.

All this info will be fully available to users and brands through very unique QR code added to every product.

We work hand by hand with the most relevant industry stakeholders in this area, such as the EU, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and HKRITA (The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel), to create a more sustainable consumption model for the fashion industry.
